SAMAVESHI SHEHER

Samaveshi Sheher is a radio programme which focuses on residential, occupational and social issues of urban poor communities. The programme highlighted the problems faced by domestic workers concerning their identity, wages and social security; the livelihood problems faced by the street vendors concerning permanent space for vending, registration for identity and necessary entitlement to social justice and minimum wage along with all other entitlements relating to their social security and government sponsored privileges. This project was supported by Indian Institute of Education & Care (llEC) and Indo-Global Social Service Society (IGSSS).
